Here’s a sitting lesson derived from The Feldenkrais Method of somatic education®, which informs much of our exploration in drawing, writing, film and performance. This particular lesson engages the familiar, often comforting movement of swaying, and our capacity to move smoothly from right to left, or to balance easily between the two.
Originally part of a series for meditators, the lesson is applicable to any kind of sitting. (Note: At the beginning and end of the lesson, you can sit either on a meditation cushion or a chair to check in with your sitting.)
